Sultry JAZZ in Trinity's Park

The 3rd annual Nor-Cal Jazz Festival took place Saturday, July 22, at Lee Fong Park in Weaverville. Sponsored by the Trinity County Arts Council and the Shasta County Arts Council, this event is part of the True North Arts Alliance, expanding arts and culture throughout the North State. Opening the festival was jazz group Bogg from Chico, Calif. Allison Scull and Victor Martin, hailing from Dunsmuir, Calif., followed.

Headliner Delbert Bump of the Delbert Bump Organ Trio at the Hammond B-3 organ. Joining Vacaville’s Delbert were two world-class players: guitar virtuoso Jeff Massanari from Berkeley, Calif., and renowned drummer Akira Tana, who resides in San Carlos, Calif.

Allison and Victor opened the evening.
