JAZZ in the True North
Weaverville - Nor-Cal Jazz and the Trinity County Arts Council as partners of the ‘True North’ are excited to bring ‘virtuosos on clarinet and saxophone’ (New York Times) Will and Peter Anderson to Weaverville on Friday, October 21.
The performance will be held in an intimate setting; as we convert ‘Affordable Event Rentals’ into a Halloween Jazz Club. Only 60 tickets will be sold for this event, so don’t delay. Beer, wine and a limited mixed drink menu will be available at 115 Main Street. Doors are at 7pm, show at 7:30. Tickets are only $10.00 advanced, $15.00 at the door, if available.

Peter and Will Anderson are one of the most extraordinary set of brothers performing music today. They’re known for their unique renditions of classic jazz standards and innovative original music. Hailing from Washington, DC, Peter and Will moved to New York City as teenagers to attend Juilliard. Called ‘the future of Jazz’ by the legendary Quincy Jones: Will and Peter have performed with the Jimmy Heath Big Band, Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, Vanguard Orchestra, Wycliffe Gordon, Kenny Barron, Albert “Tootie” Heath and more. Accompanying Will and Peter will be guitar master Alex Wintz.
This performance is a ‘True North Experience’ and in collaboration with the Shasta, Trinity and Siskiyou County Arts Council as well as the California Arts Council. Proceeds from this event will benefit youth music programs and the True North Arts & Cultural Alliance.
