The Trinity County Arts Council's Board of Directors represents a mix of businesses, educators, marketing expertise, and accounting. The quarterly board meetings are public and advertised in the Trinity Journal newspaper, on our website, and on our Facebook page, “Trinity County Arts Council-authorized”. The quarterly meetings are a forum for creating a budget, strategic planning and our integration with the community, exploring grants & funding options, and tracking the progress of our many projects. We have established committees for each project with a project director and volunteer team. The committees meet as often as required to execute the project. The Board is kept abreast of the projects. Board Meetings are held at the Weaverville Library Conference Room, 351 Main Street, Weaverville.
Today, TCAC has 5 Board of Directors consisting of a retired nurse who is a fiber artist and also serves on the Board for The T.C. Friends of the Library. One board member taught special needs children. There are 3 retired school teachers, who are talented artists, disciplined singers, and musicians. Several are affiliated with art and writing groups, and one is in an early music ensemble and presents a monthly art workshop. Collectively, our high functioning Board represents 3 regions of our county. We are open to expanding the Board, but recognize the necessity to carefully choose board members.
